Cool Off in the Beautiful Canyons of Arizona

Thursday September 4, 2008
Sometimes getting to one of Arizona's secret canyons is half the fun. You might find yourself off-roading, crossing a creek or hiking from a trailhead. Thanks to the Arizona Office of Tourism, some very special places are no longer secrets. I'll bet you thought the Grand Canyon was the only canyon to see. Well what about Canyon X, or the hidden secrets of Antelope Canyon where slot canyons are truly majestic? You can walk the narrow passages and enjoy the occasional shafts of sunlight shining down from above. And, to top it off, I'll bet you didn't know there was a "Folklore Preserve" in Ramsey Canyon! Wednesday September 3, 2008
With the cooler, crisp weather upon us, I'm drawn to making sure my home is a beautiful retreat. If you have been inspired by your travels to the Southwest and your love of the desert, have a look at the prints, photographs and wall tapestries we have selected. Remember that they usually come in various sizes. Once you find the type of art you want for your home you will have the option to look at more ideas and decide whether you want your art framed, or not. And, the prices are reasonable! Westgate City Center in Glendale, AZ - Dining Options from Margaritaville to Chocolate and Wine

Tuesday September 2, 2008
I was over at Westgate the other day. My friend, who is new to Arizona, wondered where to take her college-student daughter. Westgate was the answer. Often called the Times Square of the West, Westgate is vibrant, young and full of fun. There are so many new restaurants, it might take me a year to review them! Since we were going to lunch, some of the night club venues were out. We chose Margaritaville and dined al fresco watching the dancing fountains. The "cheesburgers in paradise" were so-so but my friend's daughter loved the fish tacos. When you go to Westgate, it's not always about the food... it's about the hip atmosphere. Here's our very long list of restaurants at Westgate City Center.
